Visiting kimono by Akira Takizawa, Itome Yuzen, Harvest Autumn, Cream

Visiting kimono by Akira Takizawa, Itome Yuzen, Harvest Autumn, Cream

A joyous autumn world unfolds against the soft cream background.
On the upper front, many cute sparrows are surrounded by ripe ears of rice.
They seem to be happy about the bountiful harvest.
Above them, many red dragonflies fly, as if they are rejoicing in the autumn days.

Ripened ears of rice and happy sparrows are depicted in great numbers from the upper front to the back.
There are also many hidden ears of rice on the lower front.

At the collar, you can see the snow-capped mountains and the mountain waves of the farmhouse in the foreground.
Perhaps the brown hillocks are the color of a bountiful harvest.
Green trees, wide mountain ranges, and in the foreground, a persimmon tree and fields laden with ripe fruit.

Autumn is also in full bloom on the back.
Red maple leaves, chestnuts, farmhouses, fields, and sky - a beautiful scene of the Japanese countryside in autumn.
Don't miss the thin reverse sleeve.

The eight-fold lining features a painting of two children trying to catch a dragonfly.
This is a wonderful formal kimono that conveys the beauty and peace of Japan.

Profile of Akira Takizawa
The author, Akira Takizawa, is an artist who received a letter of appreciation from Hillary Clinton, the former First Lady of the White House.

The letter of appreciation was for the formal kimonos that he created and presented to the wives of the prime ministers of various countries at the request of the Japanese government during the Okinawa Summit held from July 21 to July 23, 2000.
The honor of creating formal kimonos for the wives of the prime ministers of various countries on behalf of Japan was not chosen by someone's recommendation.

There was a call for applicants to create kimonos, and a friend of his quietly submitted a furisode that he had made for a young lady to the selection committee from among more than 5,000 applicants, and Takizawa was selected and accepted the mission.
Takizawa has created formal kimonos for the wives of the prime ministers of seven countries by himself.

¡Technique
Takizawa grew up in Tokamachi, where his father worked in dyeing, and learned from the first Yusui Toku sensei
to acquire the high level of skill in creating delicate thread patterns.

This is a clean and sophisticated Kaga Yuzen thread yuzen technique that does not use gold leaf, embroidery, or shading.
Itome Yuzen, which takes more than three times as much time and effort as regular Yuzen, is characterized by its clear, refined, and strong beauty even from a distance.

¡A look that makes the wearer look their best
Takizawa-sensei's Homongi is characterized by the extremely beautiful colors that are highly transparent, called "sherbet tones."

Using these colors as a base, he creates all kinds of Homongi full of fun, such as World Heritage sites, numerous classics, flowers that do not feel the season, dogs, cats, horses, etc.

He is filled with deep love, saying that ordinary things are boring! He wants to bring out the undiscovered beauty that the wearer has!

In addition, while working with stage actors Yoshiko Mita and Makoto Matsui, he pursued a look that "makes the wearer look their best."

He continued to seek not only "amazing!" when it is hung on a clothes rack as a kimono, but also a look that "makes the wearer look their best" when worn by someone.

You will discover a new, more elegant, and beautiful side of yourself that you never knew existed, and you will surely receive great praise from those around you.
